For senior operators · Healthcare & behavioral health

If we approach you,
it's not random.

We work retained, not contingent — which means we're hired to find one specific person for one specific role. If a partner reaches out, your name is on a list of fewer than fifty. Here's what to expect, and how to make sure we have you on the next one.

§ 01 · What to expect

How we move,
step by step.

If a partner calls or emails, here's the shape of the conversation. We try to waste as little of your time as possible — most candidates know whether the role is interesting within twenty minutes.

Day 0

A partner reaches out directly

Email or phone, from a real person at the firm. We'll tell you the role, the practice area, and roughly the kind of company — but not the client by name yet.

Day 1–3

A 30-minute call

If you're interested, we get on a call. Compensation, comp band, location, what you'd want next, what you wouldn't. Nothing is forwarded to the client without your say-so.

Day 4–10

Mutual NDA, full brief

You sign an NDA, we share the full client brief — name, comp range, board, the real story. You decide if you want to be on the shortlist.

Day 10–21

Client conversations

If both sides want to keep going, you meet 2–4 of the client's leaders over two weeks. We coach, debrief, and run reference checks in parallel.

§ 02 · Submit your profile

Not actively looking
is the right answer.

Most of the people we place weren't looking when we called. If you're a senior operator in healthcare, behavioral health, or life sciences, leave us your details — we'll keep you in mind when something fits.

We're not a job board. We won't email you weekly digests. You'll hear from us when a brief comes in that matches your profile, and not before.

Our promise
  • Your profile is visible only to Goldscott partners.
  • We never forward your CV without your written go-ahead.
  • Your current employer will not be contacted by us, ever.
  • You can ask us to delete your profile at any time.

Confidential profile submission

It's reviewed by a partner — usually within three business days.

If you'd rather send it later by email, that's fine — leave it blank.
§ 03 · Honest answers

Things candidates
actually ask.

The same questions come up every week. We've written down the answers we'd give over coffee.

Will my employer find out I talked to you?
No. We work confidentially in both directions. Your name doesn't leave the firm until you sign an NDA and explicitly opt in to a specific search. We've never contacted a candidate's current employer, and we never will.
Do I have to be looking for a job?
No — and most of the people we place aren't. We're built to approach people who are deeply embedded in their current role. If we call, you don't owe us an answer beyond "send me the brief, I'll think about it."
What kinds of roles do you actually fill?
C-suite and senior leadership in healthcare delivery, behavioral health, provider groups and MSOs, digital health, payer-adjacent companies, and life sciences. Typical comp: $250k–$1.2M total. We don't do mid-management, individual contributors, or contract roles.
Do you charge candidates anything?
No. Ever. We're retained by the hiring company — they pay us, you don't, and we have no incentive to push you into a role that isn't right. If anyone in our industry asks you for money to be considered for a job, walk.
How long until I hear back after submitting?
A partner reviews every submission, usually within three business days. If your background fits a current or near-term search, you'll hear from us by name. If not, we'll keep your profile on file and reach out when something matches.
Can I tell you which companies I don't want to be approached about?
Yes — please do. There's a question for it in the form, and you can update it any time. We keep a "do not approach" list per candidate and we respect it without exception.
What does the interview prep look like?
For finalists, a partner runs a 60-minute prep call before each client meeting: who you're meeting, what they care about, what's gone wrong in past hires for the role, and how to handle the comp conversation. We then debrief after every round.
What if I get an offer and want to negotiate?
We run comp benchmarks against our last 24 months of placements in your role and band, and we handle the counter-offer conversation with the client on your behalf if you'd like. Most candidates close $30–80k above the initial offer.
